Wallpapers may be among the most important customization features available on any smart device. Sure there are plenty of fun things you can do but there really isn’t anything you see more often than your wallpaper or background. First up is the aptly named 10000 Wallpapers app. This app contains a metric ton of wallpapers that are categorized in a variety of different ways to help you find what you want. Not only has it already been updated to support iOS 9 (which most will as time goes), it’s also completely free with no in-app purchases and it’s consistently updated to improve its wallpaper selection. It’s worth a shot for sure.
Backgrounds HD has been around for a very long time and has been a go-to for wallpapers for many, many people. It’s another totally free option that doesn’t require any in-app purchases and the collection is consistently updated with new wallpapers. This one features a simple sort system that categorizes wallpapers to help you easily find what you’re looking for. Aside from that, there isn’t much to it and sometimes that’s not a bad thing.
Blurred Wallpapers is a unique premise that allows you to get some decent looking wallpapers. The idea is that you can take an image, blur it, and then set it as your background. This creates the very stylish “bokeh” effect that photographers love to use. This gives your iPad an artsy design where the icons look like the foreground in a picture. If you don’t have photos, you can create your own using the built-in creator that lets you choose various colors and patterns.

Last and certainly not least is Zedge. This is a wallpaper application that also includes ringtones, notification tones, alarm tones, and a lot more. It’s a giant repository with a ton of content. The app has done historically well but newer updates have been a little bit less than expected so we hope the developers clear that up as time goes. This is a great app to play with because as soon as you’re done with wallpapers, you can hop over and grab some new ringtones too!
