Peach is a social network for fans of the female lead of Nintendo's Mario series that... oh, wait. Nope. It's a regular social network about, well, whatever you put up there. The interesting bit is that it's designed without a news feed or ticker, instead focusing on a modified messaging interface. The idea is to focus more on direct communication and less on passive browsing. Peach was formerly an iOS-only app, but it's come to Android after only a few weeks.
Life is filled with words, pictures, places, and songs worth sharing. Sometimes, a GIF says it all. When you put these things together, expressing yourself is faster, easier, and more fun. Peach connects you with friends and gives you freedom, so you can keep up with each other in a real and personal way. Peaching is just like texting, but better. Some words you type are magic words that give you quick access to all sorts of things to share, from drawings, links, and GIFs, to the weather, your current location, what you're watching tonight, how many steps you walked today, and much more.
Wolfram Alpha is a neat data tool that lets you access truly staggering amounts of organized information. But you might not realize that Wolfram uses its own programming language, a language that's also available for various high-end applications like scientific research. Previously access was limited to the pricey Mathematica software, but a more basic version (complete with remote computing on Wolfram's servers) is now available as a web and mobile app.
View your deployments on the go with the Wolfram Cloud mobile app. Whatever your target, the Wolfram Cloud lets you deploy your code or content at production scale in an unprecedentedly powerful and simple way, and now you can view and interact with your deployments on mobile. Building on more than 25 years of technology development, the Wolfram Cloud brings the revolutionary capabilities of the Wolfram Language to bear on creating and deploying production software systems and applications.
Rewind is a standard sound recorder. It doesn't record backwards, despite the name, but it does make it quick and easy to activate the recording function thanks to a widget and notification button. Yes, this is definitely intended for surreptitious recording, so make sure you're complying with local laws when you're playing amateur investigator and/or lawyer.
Rewind allows you to passively record your surroundings. This app continuously runs in the background and records everything your phone hears, allowing you to save recent recording when you hear something you would like to keep. You can record from within the app, by toggling the app notification (you can disable this in the settings), or by using the app widget on your homescreen.
JSON is a data format used for a variety of programming and web functions. Json Genie is a developer tool to write, retrieve, an d open Json files in an easy way from mobile. It integrates with standard web servers and more advanced tools like Dropbox, and it claims to handle relatively massive data files without a problem. The standard app is free, but the premium version removes ads and includes themes for $1.
Json Genie was created by the need of a developer. It is ridiculously fast, which was really important while creating the app. Our tests reveal that it opens a 2 MB json file in under a second. We even did tests with files over 50 MB and Json Genie handled them without a sweat. Json Genie allows full reign over your json files. You can clone arrays/objects/values, you can add new arrays/objects/values, edit existing ones and even remove arrays/objects/values.
Are you wondering how the apps on your phone are performing? Flurry is an app that monitors their resource usage in a benchmark style. It can even alert users if a particular app is dropping in performance - handy if you're tracking differences between updates. Standard sharing is included, and the UI is functional if not exactly eye-catching.
With the all-new Flurry app, you can access all your apps’ usage, track your favorites, and set alerts to to be notified about changes in app performance on-the-go. These are just some of the features that make it possible for you to see the metrics that matter the most as quickly as possible:

A couple of years ago several manufacturers tried to make "download accelerators" for phones that used simultaneous connections over mobile and Wi-Fi. The idea never really caught on - probably because it's hard to make something so technical have mass appeal - but it's the sort of thing that makes perfect sense with the limited resources available for a VPN. This app combines your connections for faster performance, and offers 1GB of free access per month.
Speedify is a new kind of VPN that lets you use Wi-Fi and 3G/4G mobile data together for fast, unbreakable Internet no matter where you are. With Speedify, your phone or tablet just works better: intelligently giving you seamless Internet as you go about your day, and a speed boost when you really need it.

An easy-to-use app with an exceptionally designed interface
Microsoft has published yet another Android app, this time from its Garage team of developers. Sprightly is a sort of hybrid between a standard presentation manager and a collage maker, specifically designed to make well-organized visual data. It might be a bit hard to find a specific use for this app, but the creation and layout tools are certainly interesting, and projects can be shared directly to Facebook or Whatsapp.
Sprightly, a Microsoft Garage project, enables you to create content for your business and personal needs. Describe your products in a catalog or share pricelists with your buyers. Send ecards to your family, friends & customers on festive occasions. Share content on digital platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp and reach out to your audience. With “Collections”, reusing images and content has never been easier. All the images and text you use on Sprightly are stored in your collections.
Hotelsclick is another service that lets you search through hotel listings to find the best price and amenities. This one is pretty similar to the ones you've seen before, with a maps function, various filters, and booking options through the app itself. Thankfully the initial version uses Material Design (for the most part), and it offers a small discount on partner hotels.
Install the free Hotelsclick.com app on your Android phone and find the most suitable hotel for your needs in just a few minutes. Only for you, a 5% discount on all hotel stays you book through the app. And if this is not enough, here are 3 reasons more to download the free Hotelsclick.com app on your Android phone right now:
Over 150,000 hotels to choose from anywhere in the world, for all needs and budgets
A search system allowing you to find hotels close to you, anywhere and anytime
Booking confirmation and details always available, even when you are offline
If you run your text message inbox like an email inbox (complete with a ton of spam and promotional inquiries), the stock app probably isn't offering you as much organization as you'd like. Enter Ubox, an alternative that allows users to apply filters to huge amounts of text messages, add bookmarks to specific messages, mute promotional or spam texts, and more. It's an interesting approach to be sure - too bad it seems to be India-only at the moment.
Find a ticket or follow your recent transactions all with a single tap. Switch off notifications for Promo SMS's and use them when needed without the noise. More control: Manage notifications for your Bills, Bankings, Updates, Bookings and more. Introducing SMS subjects for frequent SMS's so that you can zip through your Inbox. Block spam with a swipe. Bookmark important ones and keep them a tap away. One business thread for one business. AD-Airtel, VM- Airtel and other variations all come under Airtel.
The Micro:bit is a tiny integrated computer that packs in a 25-dot screen, accelerometer, Bluetooth, a USB port, and a few other bells and whistles. It's intended as a sort of educational toy for students to learn programming. This app allows them to code on their phones and flash that code to a Micro:bit over Bluetooth. It's pretty neat, but the compatibility is pretty limited at the moment (even though it's not a Samsung exclusive).
The best bits
• Create games on your phone then ‘flash’ them on to your micro:bit to get playing – no wires or cables needed.
• Snap a selfie by connecting your phone or tablet, and use your micro:bit as a remote control
• Never miss your mates again – now you can code your micro:bit to wake up and tell you when you’re getting a call or text
What’s in the app? There are four areas to explore:
Discover takes you to the official website where you can find code ideas from other BBC micro:bit fans. There’s loads of cool stuff to try out. Create Code allows you to use the BBC micro:bit code editors. Choose an editor and start coding. You can also go back and edit code you’ve already created. Connections is where you can go to pair your phone or tablet to your micro:bit. Choose the device you’d like to connect to through a secure Bluetooth pairing. Flash is where the fun begins: send a code file (.HEX) from your phone or tablet and see it on your micro:bit.
Sony isn't one to shy away from making skinned versions of the standard Android apps. Here's the company's take on an animated weather app. It looks nice. No, you can't install it on non-Sony devices.
The Sony Xperia™ Weather app is a simple-to-use weather app that provides you with current weather info.
- Shows wind, humidity, high and low temperature and wind information for your current location
- Shows you the perceived temperature
- Easily set up and swipe between different locations
- Simple to use widget - Multiple weather locations - Celsius & Fahrenheit
