Eradan Arena is a mix between a dice game and a card game. You choose five heroes from a deck of 120 and then in battle you throw dice to trigger their abilities. It’s a unique premise that combines multiple elements of tabletop gaming.
There are a lot of strategies which help keep the game fresh while heroes level up and unlock new abilities. Thanks to the randomness of the dice rolls, pretty much any match can go any way and that also helps keep things even.

Let me be frank, this is not going to be the best card game you play on Android, but it has two great things going for it. First, Lord of the Rings: Legends is fairly true to its name, build your teams out of your favorite characters from the books and movies. Frodo, Gandalf, the Great Eagles, even the Nazgul and more are all at your disposal.
The second interesting feature, and the main reason this app is on the list here today, is that it, for all intents, is a card game, but you never actually see a card in the interface. As you will see in the screenshot below, the devs have taken the time to make this game look like a side scrolling RPG in the battle sequences, and as a FPS in the exploration mode.
Again, let me be clear, the above two aspects are the only reason this game is on the list. The minimal game storyline, fairly annoying popup advertisements for in-app purchases and general game mechanics may likely drive you away, but hey, you get to play as your favorite characters and the game really does look great, for a card game.
With so many card game styles, never mind actual card game apps, to choose from in the Google Play Store, which are your favorite card games to play on your Android tablet? Do let us know in the comments section below.
