We all know that 2012 Big Android BBQ is really just around the corner. It’s definitely closer than it was yesterday! The day we’ve all been waiting for is finally here! Tickets to this great event have gone on sale today. While there are much larger and grander scale Android based events out there that everyone attends, this one is probably the biggest and best “community based” event today.
This years event will be held in Hurst, Texas, just outside of Dallas at the Hurst Conference Center. The dates for the event are October 19th – October 21st. Hopefully one or more of us from OMG!Droid will be attending this great BBQ this year as we missed last years event. Ticket prices are listed below with a bit of an explanation of what you get for each different price level of ticket you might purchase.
The $50 ‘Froyo’ package gives you access to three times as many sessions than previous years and also includes a ticket to BBQ after party on Sunday.
The $100 ‘Gingerbread’ package includes an expedited entry and registration as well as a reserved seat at the keynote address and a bottle of Ray Walters’ secret BBQ rub.
The $150 ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ package includes private “behind-the-scenes” lunches on Saturday and Sunday.
The $250 ‘Jelly Bean’ package includes a small, private BBQ dinner on Saturday night with members of the Cyanogenmod team and Sponsorship representatives.
Another great thing about this years event is with it being held at the Hurst Conference Center, that means it’s indoors. While the event is taking place in October as we stated, it’s still nice to have it in an indoor environment. This means rain or shine presentations won’t be affected and the Hurst Conference Center has both A/C and heat so it should be a quite comfortable environment for everyone.
Tickets are being sold through EventBrite so click here: EventBrite to head on over and grab your tickets today before everyone else beats you to them. Remember, there are only 1,000 tickets available so you better hurry while you can! We certainly hope to see you there. If you’re planning on attending, let us know in the comments below so we can make sure to write your name down in our little journal of BBQ Attendees of folks to look for while the party goes on.
Here’s a little video of highlights from last years BBQ for you to watch. Surely after seeing it you’ll definitely want to attend even more so than you do now!
