A new leak from a Spanish retailer has revealed some crucial hardware specs of the 3rd generation Moto G, which is Motorola’s upcoming midrange handset. The retailer claims that the handset will pack the Snapdragon 615 SoC, which is in contrast to previous leaks that spoke of a Snapdragon 410 chipset instead.
It is also mentioned here that the device will feature a 5 inch 720p display, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front facing camera unit, 1 or 2GB RAM variants, 8 or 16GB of storage, Android 5.1 Lollipop and a 2,470 mAh battery. 4G LTE support will be baked in by default, which is no surprise.
The device is expected to be revealed on the 28th of July, so we only have a little over a week to wait for the release of Motorola’s next major flagship. The company will show off the Moto G on the same day as well, so there’s much to be excited about for fans of Motorola’s devices.
