This alpha app uses a new artificial intelligence system to quickly and (eventually) accurately predict your personal typing patterns, suggesting words as you go along. While most keyboards simply use an expanded dictionary, SwiftKey's "Neural" system tries to predict your words - if you write a lot about car parts, it might suggest an auto-complete for "carburetor" before you ever type it in for the first time. It takes a bit of time for the system to learn your patterns, of course.
SwiftKey Neural Alpha is an experimental keyboard app that uses artificial neural networks to predict and correct your typing. The app leverages the power of artificial intelligence to offer you smarter and more meaningful suggestions in the context of what you’re writing. Neural networks are a subfield of artificial intelligence inspired by the structure and operation of the human brain.
• Understands word similarity
• Analyses longer sentence context
• Understands complex word relationships
WageSpot is a mobile and local-focused version of some of the tools you'll find on GlassDoor, specifically the wage and salary tools. It lets you see the jobs and current earnings of specific (or anonymized) workers in your area, thereby determining whether your employer is paying you more or less than the going rate. That's useful information if you're considering a job hunt or you want to ask for a raise. The interface is definitely a bit iPhone-ish, but this kind of app is rare enough that users probably won't mind.
WageSpot is world's first user-driven and location-based salary app. Share and compare your salary to real people in real time based on real locations, industries, companies, job satisfaction and much more. Arm yourself with information that will help you learn your true worth in the marketplace. Knowledge is power as they say and the knowledge WageSpot gives you will enable you to make better decisions.
DreamLab is another take on the process-sharing idea (similar to Folding@Home) that allows you to donate some of your phone's processor power to worthy causes, this time supporting Australia's Garvan Institute of Medical Research. It's designed to run while you're sleeping (and while your phone is charging), letting Garvan's supercomputers tap into a cloud of extra processing power to solve complex problems. Though this is specicially meant for the Australian market, you can download it from anywhere with an Android 4.1 or higher device.
Help solve cancer while you sleep. DreamLab is the flagship program of Vodafone Foundation Australia. It brings life to the Foundation’s purpose of empowering charities to use mobile technology to improve the health and wellbeing of Australians. The app enables Australians to power a virtual smartphone supercomputer, to help speed up cancer research at Garvan Institute of Medical Research.
Comixology is one of the only apps that makes reading large-format comics comfortrable on small screens, thanks to its panel-by-panel reading system. Comic Chameleon does the same thing, only for web comics, which can run into the same problem thanks to formatting intended for desktop browsers. It's an impressive system, and the gallery includes dozens of popular webcomics like Questionable Content and XKCD. According to the description, it's presented with the consent of all the creators it features.
Only Comic Chameleon lets you tap to navigate every single webcomic strip or page from PANEL TO PANEL, with each tap gliding to the next panel cleanly cropped and zoomed for maximum readability. Only Comic Chameleon gives you FULL ARCHIVES, doesn't charge you issue by issue, and isn't some lame RSS reader that just scrapes the last 5 updates. And only Comic Chameleon does this all with the FULL SUPPORT OF ALL THE ARTISTS WE PUBLISH.
AutoDash is a launcher app that's designed specifically to replace your car's dusty dashboard. The idea isn't a new one: it assigns specific zones of the screen with huge finger-friendly buttons for easy selection (which I suppose is better than looking down at a phone). The app comes from Automatic, the people who make that OBD gadget, and it integrates with it if you happen to have one. It includes some interesting features, like the ability to trigger relevant IFTTT recipes.
Your car's dashboard hasn't kept up with your digital life. AutoDash by Automatic is the solution. AutoDash gives you the freedom to create a custom control panel for your phone, with a clean, simple, car-friendly interface to access your essential apps on-the-go. By leveraging the thousands of existing Android widgets and apps, we've created a custom launcher that lets you do what you need quickly and easily, and then gets out of the way so you can focus on what's important: driving.
MirrorLink is a car dash standard, a sort of quasi-competitor to Android Auto and CarPlay. This app attempts to bring reliable Android music display and controls to the semi-open standard, which is a big boon for anyone who's gone out of their way to install one. Exactly what's meant by "participating Android audio provider" isn't clear, though - we don't have on of these things handy, so we can't say which apps it's compatible with.
RockScout makes Android music and audio apps controllable from your car’s dashboard via MirrorLink®. Simply download RockScout and use it as a portal to access any participating Android audio provider. MirrorLink is the most ingenious way to connect your smartphone to your car. Huge icons make apps easy to use and smart technology knows if you’re in Park or Drive.
EveryStory is yet another app that tries to make it easy to share photos with a limited number of people. This one includes an audio twist: it lets you record narration that goes along with each photo or series of photos, then upload it to the service's cloud storage. So essentially it's a slideshow, complete with your explanation of each photo, that doesn't actually require you to be present with a projector and a laser pointer.
Add a special touch to your favorite photos. Record the voices and stories behind your photos and watch them come alive. Share them privately so loved ones can listen to your stories and add their own. everyStory is a story-sharing app and website. It’s an interactive photo album that lets you record and listen to stories anywhere, anytime. Naturally flip through photos and record audio stories from your loved ones.
Parlay is an app intended to help you make good on a challenge or promise. Basically it applies the "gamification" system to just about anything, and throws in the ability to send and receive money. It's a perfect way to make (and follow through on) a small bet, and it includes the ability to donate your winnings to a few worthy charities as well.
What’s a parlay⁉️ It's a challenge. Where you say one thing and your friend takes you on. When the outcome is judged, the loser can post a picture, give to charity, or transfer money to the winner.
Build a profile with your player stats and parlay history
Scroll through your feed to see what your friends are up to
This app is an attempt to share music, and basically only music, over the larger social networks. The discovery portion of the app seems a little redundant, since it only lets you browse music that's already on Spotify or SoundCloud, both of which already include some serviceable sharing tools. It does include some curated playlists and a profile system, but there's no way to upload your own content. At least the UI is pretty.
Listen to curated playlists from the best: The Fader, Yard, Rinse FM and thousands of trending artists and music labels. Sounds app is used by thousands of Artists (Brodinski, Joey Bada$$), Music Labels (UMG, Warner, Sony, Bromance, Dim Mak) and Fans around the world .
• Instasound - Share Music on Instagram.
• Snapsound - Share Music on Snapchat. Shoot Snapchat videos while the music is playing.

It presents more dizzying statistics than a bored NFL color commenter could hope to spout in a month of Sundays, all broken down by teams, players, positions, and even team matchup series. LinkedIn still exists, much to my personal dismay, and the company is still trying to position itself as an all-purpose corporate communication service. Lookup is a cross between a digital company directory and an internal instant messaging service. Oddly, there's no option for chatting with a group of people a la Slack... and I can only see this app being useful if your workplace doesn't already have some kind of chatting solution.
LinkedIn Lookup is the fastest way to find, learn about, and contact anyone at your company, even if you’re not connected to them on LinkedIn. In seconds, you can find a coworker by title, skill, name, expertise and more. Learn about them by checking out their up-to-date, streamlined profile. And when you ready, instantly make contact, even if you’re not at your desk.
It's come to this. The NFL has published an official (and thankfully free) pack of emojis for use with chat apps. The world might be coming to an end, but at least it includes emojis and stickers for all teams (even you, dejected Jaguar fans).
Emojis include: NFL Teams, Players, Mascots, and More.
Share your NFL Sunday like never before with our exclusive NFL emojis and stickers.
Share your favorite NFL fantasy football stars.
Customized emojis and stickers for all 32 NFL teams
Here's an official Google app that came out of nowhere: a metro transit guide... that's only for New Delhi. It's also surprisingly plain, featuring bus and train timetables, directions, and not much else. The app integrates with Google Maps, so perhaps we'll see more city-specific versions in the future - the description specifically mentions that it's "experimental."
The Delhi Public Transport offline app will search for Delhi Metro and bus directions and timetables without requiring Internet data. It will also notify you of Delhi Metro and bus transit news and delays through the app (this feature requires Internet).
• Route planning and directions for Delhi Metro and bus. Get directions to any DMRC metro station or Delhi bus stop. Supports DMRC Metro, DTC bus, Gurgaon Rapid Metro, and DIMTS Orange buses. (works offline)
• Look up timings and schedules for any Delhi Metro line or Bus number. (works offline)
• Get notified about Delhi transit news and major Metro delays. (requires Internet)
Back in the early days of Android, dedicated gamers often overclocked their processors and applied other tweaks to improve game performance. Now Samsung has an official way to do that, with a background service that can do something similar, though it's intended to save battery instead of boost graphics. Scale down the resolution to, say, 720p and cap the frames per second to give your system a break. Right now it only works with the 2015 Samsung flagship phones.
Game Tuner is an app to keep your phone cool and save battery life by tuning resolution and frame rate of games.

Game Tuner needs GameService to operate.
If you have disabled GameService, Game Tuner would not work. Please keep GameService enabled.
Although your device is a supported device, if you do not have GameService, try software update. If your device software is up-to-date, please wait for the next update.
How to update software: Go to Settings - About device - Software update
Starz Play is the service's version of streaming apps like HBO Go. It's been available on Android phones and tablets for some time, but this version is specifically meant of Android TV... which is odd, since the screenshots on the Play Store include phone and tablet shots. (You guys couldn't be bothered to get screens from a Nexus Player? Really?) You'll need a Starz cable subscription to get access to the content, as there's no online-only option at the moment.
STARZ Play is available free with subscription through participating providers. Your STARZ subscription just got better. Now you can watch captivating original series as well as hit movies anywhere you go. You can play episodes of past season originals as well as current season episodes the day after they premiere on STARZ. Plus, get immediate access to hit movies right when you want to watch them. STARZ Play gives you maximum user control by letting you play, pause and rewind.
Want to get early beta builds of Android 6.0 for your Xperia phone? Then download this app, sign up with a little personal info, and wait for a download. Neat.
Use this app to sign up for Sony’s concept for Android, a fresh take on the Sony user experience based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). You will install a Marshmallow based concept software on your device. Once setup you can share your impression and we will provide regular updates to improve the software based on your feedback.
HTC hasn't released an Android 6.0 phone just yet. That's totally OK, it's only been a few weeks. But apparently the company is really looking forward to the announcement of its first one, because they've already posted a Restore app for transferring settings and personal info to new phones, and for some reason it's exclusive to Android Marshmallow. Expect this to come pre-installed on the HTC One A9 "Aero."
HTC Restore lets you import the content that you’ve saved using HTC Backup. You can restore whatever you’ve previously backed up, including settings, accounts and passwords, bookmarks, messages, contacts or apps. HTC Restore is only available for phones running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Microsoft continues to expand it Android app lineup, this time with a companion app for its Operations Management Suite system. Basically it's a management tool for massive network and server environments. The amount of people who are in a position to actually use this app is tiny, but those who do will appreciate the fact that it's now available.
The Microsoft Operations Management Suite mobile app provides you with anywhere access to information about your IT infrastructure. The app delivers Operations Management Suite fully optimized for Android, enabling operational intelligence on the go. Access dashboards and execute saved searches at any time, from any location. The mobile app requires you to have an Operations Management Suite account.
