Card Crawl is the best indie card game I've seen in a while, combining elements of roguelikes and card-battling games such as Magic: The Gathering with, well, Solitaire. The gist is that you need to use weapons, shields, and special attack cards to clear out monster cards in your opponent's deck while keeping enough hit points to stay alive. Collect some coins while you're at it to unlock new cards. It's an amazingly unique game, I only wish it ran better - the Unity engine makes my phone like an oven.
Clear the Dungeon of 54 cards by using item-cards, slaying monsters and managing your limited inventory. Each run you can use 5 ability-cards (mini deck building) which will give you unique skills. By collecting gold you can unlock the first 10 ability-cards which enable new tactics and even better highscores. By buying the full game you can unlock 20 additional cards with even better abilities.
Killing Floor is a popular series of first-person shooters that recalls the glory days of Doom and Duke Nukem. This mobile entry in the series re-makes the first Killing Floor as a touchscreen-friendly top-down shooter. Shoot and blast your way through as grisly a collection of mutants as any horror fan could hope for, with local co-op available for the SHIELD Tablet and SHIELD TV. Killing Floor: Calamity is a reasonable $5 with no in-app purchases.
Killing Floor: Calamity is a re-imagined Arcade Shooter version of the original Killing Floor, the hugely successful and multi-million unit selling, multi-award winning PC First Person Shooter. Killing Floor: Calamity takes place in the devastated cities and countryside of England, after a series of cloning experiments for the military goes horribly wrong. You are a member of the military, dropped into these locations with a simple mission: survive long enough to cleanse the area of the failed experiments.
Gathering Sky is a minimalist game where the only objective is to control a flock of birds around the sky. Gather more birds, take advantage of gusts and airstreams, and try to keep everyone together. The low-intensity gameplay is interesting, but it's the ethereal music and hand-painted backgrounds that make Gathering Sky compelling. It's $3 with no in-app purchases.
Guide a flock of birds on a playful journey across the sky. Dance in the winds of a far-away world and create an emotional story without words. The world is brought to life by an original score performed by the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The experience is enjoyable with any skill level and can be finished in under an hour. Fly with us. Gathering Sky is best enjoyed on an Android 7"-10" tablet. Small phones or screens not recommended.
The Fallout games are all about surviving and exploring a nuclear wasteland after you exit a fallout shelter. Fallout Shelter, by comparison, is all about the Vault: you manage and expand your underground survival den, take care of its people, and protect it from invading raiders. The whole game uses the retro-futuristic aesthetic that Fallout is so famous for, and some of the tongue-in-cheek humor is excellent. That said, early players often complain of a repetitive structure.
Create a brighter future…underground. Select from a variety of modern-day rooms to turn an excavation beneath 2,000 feet of bedrock into the very picture of Vault Life. Get to know your Dwellers and lead them to happiness. Find their ideal jobs and watch them flourish. Provide them with outfits, weapons, and training to improve their abilities. A well-run Vault requires a variety of Dwellers with a mix of skills. Build a Radio Room to attract new Dwellers.
LEGO released an Android version of its Marvel Universe-spanning game a few months ago, now it's DC's turn. While LEGO Batman is ostensibly about the Dark Knight, it crams in basically every hero and villain of note from the DC comic continuity. That's a treat if you're a fan, and if you like previous LEGO games you'll feel right at home with the basic exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat. That said, gamers looking for something a little meatier could better spend their money elsewhere.
The best-selling LEGO Batman franchise returns in an out-of-this-world, action-packed adventure. Play as Batman and join forces with characters from the DC Comics universe as you blast off to outer space to stop the evil Brainiac from destroying Earth. Play and unlock more than 100 characters with amazing powers and abilities, including members of the Justice League, BIG LEGO Figures such as Solomon Grundy, Lantern heroes and villains, and much more.
Zoombinis was a collection of educational puzzle games from back in the 90s. With the help of a Kickstarter campaign and a gaggle of developers, it's now back in mobile form. This updated version of the original game features completely new art and animations, but the same basic story (about a collection of Smurf-like creatures) and kid-focused logic puzzles and lessons. IT's a reasonable $5 with no in-app purchases.
Play Zoombinis and guide the little blue creatures through fun and increasingly challenging puzzles on their way to a new home. Zoombinis is a re-creation of the classic, award-winning 1990’s puzzle game Logical Journey of the Zoombinis. The small blue creatures, each with distinct personalities and appearances, are escaping imprisonment by the evil Bloats who have taken over the Zoombinis' home. Players take on the role of the guide and help the Zoombinis reach the safety of Zoombiniville.
Windward is a sea combat and trading game that comes to Android from the PC. It's a deep experience full of RPG-like progression and customization, and surprisingly, offers faction-based multiplayer as well. The procedurally-generated ocean world is impressive to behold (if your hardware can handle it) and the game world evolves as you progress. Even so, the $10 price tag will probably deter a lot of would-be swashbucklers.
Designed from the start to be a fully procedural co-op game, Windward can be played by yourself, but it truly comes alive when playing with friends. Start by generating a procedural world that will be unique to you, design your own custom faction then sail forward fighting pirates, trading with towns, doing quests or simply exploring -- it's up to you how you want to play.
GLTCH is kind of like Pac-Man. No, that's not true: GLTCH is kind of like Pac-Man in the same way that 2001: A Space Odyssey is like Star Wars: one is fun and light-hearted, and one intentionally messes with your head. This game has you moving along a grid, chomping up blue bits and avoiding red bits, but before long "glitches" start to invade your game. They mess wit the graphics, the controls, the physics, everything. As you progress they become more debilitating and the game gets harder and more insane.
GLTCH is a frantic, die-and-retry arcade game with intentional glitches where the longer you survive, the more unstable the game becomes. Use swipe gestures to navigate the grid, collecting fragments as fast as you can, but beware of the enemies that try to get in your way: one touch means game over. Aside from enemies; dead pixels, faulty connections and over 30 unlockable glitches will make it harder and harder to survive in this virtual arcade.

While the game has only 20 levels, the variety is stunning, and it doesn't hurt that the low-poly 3D graphics look fantastic. The Path to Luma is free with no in-app purchases.

As a fairly standard runner game, Cartoon Survivor doesn't offer a whole lot in the way of innovation: swerve and jump to dodge obstacles, tap and hold to fly, collect as many pickups as possible, you get the idea. But the incredibly colorful and expressive graphics make the game a cut above its competition. You play a dodo frantically running through an Origami jungle, trying not to be stabbed, flattened, drowned, or eaten. Minimal in-app purchases offer visual customization and a few powerups.
Cartoon Survivor is a vibrant 3D adventure runner set in a dynamic prehistoric world. That's Gravity Beats, a title that challenges you to pilot a tiny ship around a complicated environment. The controls are simple, just vector and thrust, but thanks to the variable level design you'll constantly be discovering new things. The thumping soundtrack and day-glo graphics are also appealing. In-app purchases for power-ups remove advertising.

Space Drill is a simple little twitch game where you have to avoid obstacles and grab power-ups as your drill falls. That's it. Swipe left or right to move around, manage the thermal levels by avoiding solid objects, and hit the barriers at the end of the level to smash through. The game is free with no in-app purchases.
In Space Drill your task is to drill through the enemy space station and destroy its core. Touch left and right to dodge the obstacles coming your way. Keep an eye out for the Heat level of your drill – you can't let it overheat before reaching the core. Catch powerups to help you proceed. Each new level is guarded by a thick panel of armor that you have to drill through. The closer to the core, the faster the game is and the deadlier new enemies are.
What's this? An original IP from Square-Enix, and one that isn't filled to the brim with in-app purchases? Indeed, this block puzzle game has nothing to do with Final Fantasies or Dragon Quests, it's all about laying down the correct combination of plant and stone tiles to match them up into ideal settlements and farmlands. The limited layout makes the game surprisingly strategic. Yeah, it's basically a clone of Triple Town, but at least it's not another $16 RPG that's 20 years old.
Get ready to rule in Farms & Castles, the fiendishly addictive puzzle game played by millions. Build towering castles and huge farms by matching objects. Harvest goods and collect gold as you work your way from a lowly knight to a mighty emperor. It might seem simple at first, but only the best will reach the top ranks.
Amazingly fun gameplay that is easy to learn and hard to master.
Compete with your friends on the leaderboards - who is the greatest ruler?
Trade goods and purchase magic orbs to transform the world to your liking.
There seems to be an odd revival of Q*bert-style isometric platformers going on - first the surprisingly decent Mountain Goat Mountain, now Down The Mountain. Gameplay is simple, tap left or right to make your way down and avoid various traps, pitfalls, improbable cars, and the like. The structure is an unapologetic take on the Tappy Road concept (with the requisite lack of depth), but it's fun enough for short and quick play sessions.
Down The Mountain is a unique and fast-paced arcade game that will keep you hooked for hours. The goal of the game is to descend from an infinite mountain, while avoiding many obstacles and enemies, and grabbing stars and power-ups.
Have you ever wanted to play Guitar Hero with the inexplicable characters of Adventure Time? Now you can. Well, not Guitar Hero, exactly - you tap along to the beat as the various animated blobs rock out on screen. But for the countless fans of the show who want something focusing on the music. Rockstars of Ooo is $2, and like most Cartoon Network games, it doesn't have any in-app purchases.
Calling all rockstars. Feel the rhythm in Adventure Time Rockstars of Ooo. Get ready for a new musical adventure in the Land of Ooo. Tap to the rhythm to sing and play with Finn, Jake, Princess Bubblegum, BMO, and Fionna. Explore some of your favorite Adventure Time moments, including BMO Noire, Fionna and Cake, Wizard Battle, Marceline’s henchmen, and Party Pat in the Belly of the Beast.
Little Raiders mixes the almost ubiquitous town-builder genre (though in this version you're building a forest hideout for Merry Men) and some solid action-RPG combat. Future Games of London (on behalf of Ubisoft) has some fantastic 2D visuals to show off, and RPG fans will enjoy the incremental upgrades to the diverse team members as they attack the oppressive enemies. Unfortunately, a free mobile game from a major console publisher means mountains of in-app purchases.
Build a treetop village and lead your Raiders into battle. Little Raiders is a unique combat adventure, bringing a magical twist to the classic Robin Hood tale. Robin's home has been burnt to the ground and he needs your help to take his revenge. Are you ready for a fantastical yet dangerous adventure fought through the lushest, vibrant forests of Snowbourne to the regal labyrinths of Brightstone? Follow an engaging plot, watch your Heroes grow and overcome the perils of revelations.
Here's he latest Android "twitch" game that borders on frustration overload. You're given controls for turning left and right, and told to avoid the obstacles and grab a few power-ups if you can. You'll be doing well to last more than twenty seconds in Go Go Grow. It's an interesting enough little diversion if you like these sorts of simple games.
GO GO GROW is a minimalist, addictive, and fast paced one touch arcade game
How to play:
Touch the screen on the left to turn left, touch the screen on the right to turn right.
Avoid a clash with enemies and the walls to survive as long as you can.
The spiritual successor (if not the true sequel) to Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake has giant kaiju destroying cities Godzilla-style. But lest you think this is a pointless action game, it's actually a card battler: you play collectable cards against your online opponent to be the first to destroy the city. There are a couple of mini-game elements, but unfortunately Adult Swim seems to have taken the IAP model from other card battling games. At least the monster designs are kooky.
From the people who brought you Robot Unicorn Attack 2 and Giant Boulder of Death — the monsters are back, and they're dealing out destruction. Pick your favorite kaiju, assemble a deck of special cards and time your attacks to destroy the city. Battle rival players from around the world to decide who's king of the monsters. Unlockable monsters, rare prizes, leaderboards, tournaments and more make this the card game to topple them all.
Admit it, you'd relish the opportunity to blast those annoying Flappy Birds out of the sky. This twist on tower defense allows you to do just that. There's actually a surprising amount of variety in the bird enemies and upgrades to your cannons... but this game would be a lot more compelling without the insane in-app purchases.
Destroy Birds by shooting off cannonballs from your customizable pipe. Don't let a single one through or you'll be set back. Defeating bosses loots you diamonds to purchase powerful Items at your side. Are you able to earn every Achievement? Brag to your friends by hitting an all time top score in the Leaderboards. Never stop fighting the oncoming waves to become a Flappy Defense Master.
Here's another party game designed specifically to work with Chromecast. It's an official version of the board game from Hasbro, this time controlled by a phone... though it seems odd that you're using an iPhone. The charades-style game is limited to a few plays before you have to play... which seems odd, when it would be easy enough to play this kind of game without any digital accoutrements at all.
Tired of being bored at home in front of the TV? Wish there was something fun your friends and family could do instead? Hasbro has the solution for you. Get up off the couch and get a game party started with CATCH PHRASE Blitz.
EVERYTHING YOU ALREADY LOVE ABOUT CATCH PHRASE COMES TO YOUR TV
- Pick your teams and take turns guessing the word or phrase displayed on screen.
- Do you think you could get your friends to guess "No-brainer" without saying the words "no" or "brain"?
- You can gesture or use any other words you want, but you have to do it fast, because they have to say it before time runs out.
- Duke it out in Play on TV mode to see if your team is the best.
I've never been a fan of the room escape genre, but this series is generally well-reviewed and the latest version looks fantastic. Collect items and solve brain-teasers (while trying to dodge the IAP "power" system) and wait for semi-regular updates from the developers.
The finest yet in the Doors&Rooms series. The game that will awaken and stimulate your brain development. Everything is perfect. All you need is your reasoning power.Test and challenge your deduction skills through much more elaborate and solidified stages. Discover the hidden items located in various rooms and uncover clues to escape. You may occasionally find items that will unveil secret rooms. Hey look, Gameloft made a strategy game! And it's pretty much like all the other strategic base-builders out there: build up your resources, create units, go out and wreck stuff, play a little defense, rinse and repeat. March of Empires even borrows the clan mechanic. It does offer a little variety with fancier graphics and some unit formations, but that's about it - the rest of the game is the same free-to-play cash grab you're already familiar with.
Download now and March to your Destiny. Break away from reality and ascend to the throne through the art of war. Claim your title as Highland King, Northern Czar or Desert Sultan, and join this genre-redefining strategy game where you will wage constant war for real territorial conquest. Fortify your castle, fuel a massive army, and enter the ultimate fight for realm domination. But as your empire expands it’s bound to run into other ambitious lords, and only one emperor can dominate.
How can a sniper accomplish his mission if he never opens his eyes? Well... let's just say it's a good thing this game is free.
WARNING: If you are looking for a serious sniper game, then run and hide and never come back. ...are you still here?! We would unlock an achievement for you but there is no such functionality implemented in Google Play. Get that achievement in the game.
