The OnePlus 2 has seen overwhelming demand from the public as we all know. The smartphone went on sale earlier today in China and the response was understandably huge. The company managed to sell 30,000units of the smartphone in just 64 seconds, which is quite incredible even for a company like OnePlus. This sale was held through the OnePlus online store in China.
Such response is usually expected for devices that are available on flash sales and in limited quantities. It is a common occurrence for a company like Xiaomi which holds flash sales on a regular basis in China. OnePlus is yet to bring the smartphone to global markets, so we’re not sure if the same response will be seen elsewhere.
But considering that over a million people have already registered for an invite to purchase the OnePlus 2, we’re guessing the demand spreads far beyond China. Have you registered for the OnePlus 2 yet? If yes, you might have to wait a long time to get your turn.
