China is full of smartphone manufacturers, some are very well known, while others not so much. Xiaomi is China’s number one smartphone manufacturer and there seems to be no stopping this Chinese giant. They will cross the 60 million mark when it comes to smartphone shipments this year and according to company’s CEO, they plan to hit the 100 million mark next year. Xiaomi is making rather well-made and capable devices and sells them on a cheap, especially in China, considering they don’t need to ship them outside of that Asian country.
Xiaomi just announced that the 4G variants of Redmi 1S and Redmi Note devices are in stock and that Chinese consumers can purchase them from Xiaomi’s official page (only the 3G versions were available up to this point). The former is priced at 699 Yuan ($114) while the latter will set you back 999 Yuan ($163). I don’t have to mention that these are great deals for these smartphones and if you live in China, are in need of a good smartphone here’s your chance, it’s really hard to beat these prices. Xiaomi says it will deliver you these phones 7 days after you purchase them, you can even get it on contract with one of the Chinese carriers if you’d like.
Xiaomi Hongmi 1S 4G (also known as Redmi 1S) is featuring a 4.7-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of in-built storage (expandable via MicroSD card up to 32GB). This device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz which comes with an Adreno 305 GPU. On the back of this device, you’ll find an 8-megapixel camera flanked by an LED flash while there’s a 1.6-megapixel shooter located on the front of the device. Hongmi 1S ships with Android 4.3 JellyBean OS out of the box with Xiaomi’s MIUI 5 OS on top of it. 2000mAh battery is also a part of the package.

As a reminder, if you want to get either of these phones internationally, you can do so via Xiaomi Shop, though the prices are of course somewhat higher there.
