Samsung showed us the Galaxy S7 that wowed pretty much everyone. But there are a few chinks in the armour that some of you might have missed. Here is a list of 5 things that we would have loved to see in the Galaxy S7.
Pretty much every flagship smartphone now ships with the next generation of USB-C port. This may not be today’s connectivity and data transfer standard but will be one very soon. I cannot imagine myself using the Galaxy S7 2 years down the line with an older micro-USB port while all the newer accessories can only plug into a USB-c port.
Well, this one is a deal breaker for me. I am an avid selfie lover and so are many people out there. I really hoped that there would be a front flash for taking that perfect selfie. Make no mistake, the Galaxy S7’s camera is being touted as the best smartphone camera in the world right now and takes best selfies and low light photos. Still adding a front flash would have won me over twice.
There were reports that Samsung is including the retinal scanner to unlock your phone as well as secure your data but the actual handset will ship with a fingerprint scanner. I am not against the fingerprint scanners but these are not perfectly secure. instances of unlocking a phone by duplicating a print are not uncommon. Eye scanner can provide the perfect security that is required for the modern smartphone and unlocking the device without proper authorization is next to impossible.
The Galaxy S6 was a stunner. It had a great metal body and Samsung has chosen to implement the same body for the Galaxy S7. That is a bummer. I would have loved to see other kinds of material and certain design enhancements in the Galaxy S7. Some level of innovation would not hurt the handset. maybe some new colours would have been cheerful.
IPhone has it. But the S7 and S7 edge don’t have it yet. We have to wait for the Note 6 to see the Samsung’s version of 3d touch. The display technology that recognises the amount of pressure that is applied on a screen and respond appropriately displaying various option based on your touch type.
These are some of the features that I wanted in the Galaxy S7. Which features are you missing in this superphone?
