Battery life is still the major concern for most smartphone users. We can do almost everything with our mobile devices but just for a few hours unless there’s a plug around to keep the fun up. Manufacturers say they are working on it but… you know, it all takes time.
Fortunately, we still have our wit and developers’ will to help solve that flaw.
AppsZoomhas gathered a few tips and apps for extending your battery a few more hours. Grab them all!
1. Turn brightness down
Screen is by far the element which drains the most battery on your iOS device. You can extend your battery life considerably by turning it down almost to the minimum. It wont’ normally affect the way you use it. You can always turn it up a little in the outdoor if natural light is blinding.
2. Reduce screen time out
This is another way to reduce to minimum display’s battery consumption. Most actions are performed in just a few seconds. Don’t waste your battery juice by letting your screen on when you aren’t even looking at it. Set screen time out lower from General -> Auto-lock:
3. Turn off Parallax
Parallax adds special effects to your navigation but also kills your battery. We don’t want extra stuff draining our battery juice, do we? Then you can deactivate Parallax by enabling “Reduce Motion” from general settings.
4. Turn off radios when you don’t need them
Some location apps require WiFi to be more accurate. Some others ask you to enable Bluetooth. Those radios are battery-killers. You should try to switch them off while you don’t need them to avoid unnecessary drains. Do it from the first block of Settings.
5. Update your apps
Since battery life is one of the main issues on mobile, app developers are always trying to reduce the amount of battery juice their apps drain. Thus, having the latest version of your apps is always a way to ensure you are running the most optimized copy. How to do it manually:
