Tomorrow Pantech will announce its very own entry into the phablet space, the Vega Note. Pantech is the third largest Korean handset maker, always overshadowed by Samsung and LG.
The Pantech Vega Note got on our radar a week ago, when the company sent out invites for its press conference on October 10. And today the first live images showing the handset in the wild have appeared over at G4Games.
As you can see, the Vega Note features a stylus much like the Galaxy Note 3 from Samsung. The phablet also seems to come with a fingerprint sensor on the back. This would confirm past rumors which claimed that the Pantech Vega Note would have a combo fingerprint reader / rear touch pad. The position of the sensor is very similar to what we expect to see in the HTC One Max, the phablet that’s due to become official next week.
Other specs that we expect to make it into the Pantech Vega Note include the now-ubiquitous Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, LTE-A support (for downloads up to 150 Mbps), a 5.9-inch 1080p Full HD touchscreen, 2 GB of RAM, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean running the show.
