We have long known that HP planned both a larger and a smaller screen size version of the TouchPad, code-named Topaz for 10-inch plate and Opal for 7-inch variant.
Now we have the first details of the 7-inch plate that will be presented to the public in August.
The rumors coming from a hardware manufacturer to HP says that a 7-inch tablet will be launched about a month after the Touchpad. The manufacturer has received an order for between 400,000 to 450,000 TouchPad:s per month from HP, including both the known Touchpad and the unconfirmed tablet.
HP CEO has previously said that in the future, HP’s products should be available in stores during or shortly after product launch, so hopefully the 7-inch plate will hit stores in August or September.
