When it comes to smartphones, Acer is not the really a well-known brand for that or rather you can say; they are very active in this category. But they do launch some of the smartphones once in a while with some decent specs. On the same lines, the company has now announced two new smartphones. These two new smartphones are called the Liquid Z6 & the Z6 Plus. Both the devices offer different specs, which quite obvious as one is the plus variant of the other. So let’s talk about them one-by-one.
Talking about the Liquid Z6, it sports a comparatively smaller 5-inch FHD display covered with a 2.5D glass on top of it. The device is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor and comes with only an 8-megapixel rear facing camera. It packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. It is kept powered by a 2,000 mAh battery and it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The device will be available in Black & Grey color.
Now talking about the Z6 Plus, it sports a 5.5-inch FHD display on the front with the same 2.5D glass on top. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor. It packs 3GB of RAM and has 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD card upto 128GB. It is kept powered by a 4,080 mAh battery and also runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The device will be available in Black & grey color as well. For the camera, we are looking at a 13-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel front facing camera.
On a side note, the company also launched the Acer Iconia Talk S, which is one of their 7-inch tablets. This is a voice-enabled phablet which supports 4G LTE. It has an HD screen and it is powered by a quad-core processor. It has a 13-megapixel rear facing camera and runs on the same version of Android as the other two devices.
In terms of availability, the Liquid Z6 will be available in EMEA in November starting at €119 (roughly about 8,900 INR)and the liquid Z6 Plus will be available in EMEA in December with prices starting at €249 (roughly 18,500 INR). Stay tuned for more info on this.
