Alcatel has a new Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone. It’s called Alcatel One Touch 918, and should become available pretty soon, since it has appeared both at the Bluetooth SIG, and here at the Alcatel One Touch official website.
The One Touch 918 features a 3.2 inch HVGA display, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Facebook and Twitter integration, Bluetooth 3.0, FM Radio, 3.2MP camera, and MicroSD card support (up to 32GB). The handset will have a dual SIM version, called One Touch 918D.
Unlike the One Touch 995 seen earlier this month, the 918 will probably not be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Another new dual-SIM Alcatel phone is the One Touch 318D. Despite its name, the One Touch 318D is not a touchscreen handset, but a basic candybar:
The prices of the Alcatel One Touch 918 / 918D and Alcatel One Touch 318D are not known (they should be reasonably low anyway). The markets where these two new phones will be available are also not known for now.
