We first saw the Alcatel One Touch Idol 3 during Mobile World Congress earlier this year, when it made its initial debut. Preorders are open now, and you can pick one up for $279.99 completely unlocked. It was cheaper during a pre-sale, so you might have had a chance to pick one up for as little as $199. But the question remains: what’s in the box?
We’re here to answer that with our unboxing video of the new flagship from Alcatel. The One Touch Idol 3 has all of the trimmings to take on other affordable unlocked Android smartphones such as the OnePlus One. It sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 16GB of storage, microSD support, a 13-megapixel camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter and 2GB of RAM. Not too shabby, and it feels pretty good in the hand, too. The user interface is also somewhat unique in that the UI rotates no matter how you hold the phone, so you’re never really holding it upside-down.
Check out the video to find out what it comes with inside the box, and for a quick look at the Alcatel One Touch Idol 3.
