The Alcatel One Touch Idol X was announced in February as TCL’s flagship smartphone for places other than China (where the company sells phones under its own brand). Yet TCL already has a successor for this device in the works, it seems.
The handset that will replace the Idol X is called TCL N3 (and will probably be named Alcatel One Touch N3 outside of China), and it will feature a truly outstanding almost bezel-less design, as evidenced by the renders below.
This is becoming more and more of a trend, having phones with insanely thin bezels, and it allows manufacturers to cram ever bigger screens into their wares. This will be the case here too, with the TCL N3 said to come with a 5.7-inch touchscreen. Yet because of the lack of bezels, the N3 isn’t expected to be much larger than the Idol X which has a 5-inch screen.
Other details about the N3 are not known just yet. But it does seem like it’s a few months away from a release, so before that will eventually happen we’re bound to find out a lot more about it via leaks. Stay tuned then.
