French manufacturer Alcatel One Touch has just announced the launch of a new smart wearable for next week’s CES event in Las Vegas. According to the company, the smartwatch will be packed with a ton of features and “apps that allow users to monitor daily activity”, which is pretty standard for a wearable like device.
The company has also promised a smart price tag for this device, although it has failed to divulge specific details on that. Fortunately, Alcatel has decided to go with a circular display here, making it pleasing to the eye. The device is shown off with four different wrist bands, telling us how versatile it can be.
The company has left one crucial information from its announcement – the OS. Although it’s natural at this point to assume it will be running Android Wear, some reports suggest that it could be featuring Alcatel’s custom operating system for wearables. This could perhaps bring compatibility with non-Android devices as well.
