There are still two full weeks left before HTC officially unveils its next flagship smartphone, but an alleged leaked ad from Australian carrier Telstra appears to reveal everything we’ve been wondering about the All New HTC One. A print ad for the device obtained by GSMArena claims to confirm the device’s specs and even explains what that mysterious second rear camera is for.
It looks like the rumors were true when it comes to the rear camera setup, which HTC is apparently calling a “Duo Camera.” The leaked ad notes that you’ll be able to edit your photos “after you’ve taken the shot,” choosing where to focus, what to highlight and letting you add some sort of 3D effects. The camera also works well in low light, though we already knew that, since it was one of the primary strengths of the ultrapixel camera on the original One.
The leak describes a 5-inch full HD “scratch-resistant” display set to replace the original HTC One’s 4.7-inch screen. Also confirmed are a set of front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers and the “all metal body” we all know and love. Finally, we get a few details on Sense 6, which will apparently let you turn on your phone by tapping the screen similar to LG’s Knock Code feature.
It’s tempting to take today’s leak at face value. Telstra’s ad looks like the real thing, and for the most part it confirms earlier reports and rumors. We won’t know anything for sure for a couple more weeks though when HTC makes an official announcement. Until then, check out the full leaked ad below and stay tuned for more updates.
