A leaker has managed to snag three front panels from Apple’s incoming iPhone releases – and they’re all iPhone X-styled
If you don’t like the iPhone X styling, you might want to look away now.
Leaked images of Apple’s three new iPhones for 2018 show a trio of handsets that all share one thing in common – iPhone X styling.
That’s right: no home button, hardly any bezels, and plenty of notch action.
According to the leaker, one Ben Gaskin, the leak shows the front panels from Apple’s new iPhone base model (the iPhone 8 replacement), the iPhone XI (iPhone X replacement), and the iPhone X Plus.
iPhone X 2018 Display – OLED vs LCD
One of the units, likely the base model, WILL NOT feature OLED.
Nope, that one will rock an LCD display apparently. The reason? Simple: keeping costs down.
Apple knows it cannot sell three $1000 phones – that’d alienate everybody.
So, what’s likely to happen is this: the base model will be slightly more expensive than the iPhone 8, while the iPhone XI will sell for the same price as the iPhone X, and the iPhone X Plus model will be EVEN more…
How much more? A few hundred bucks most likely – meaning anywhere from $1300 to $1500.
iPhone X 2018 Display Sizes
iPhone X Base Model: 5.8in
iPhone XI: 6.1in
iPhone X Plus: 6.5in
The iPhone XI and iPhone X Plus, if the leaked images are legit, would make them the largest phones Apple has ever released.
Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, a man with a stellar track record when it comes to all things Apple, has said that Apple release larger models in 2018, as well as a cheaper version of the iPhone X.
That’ll be the LCD model pictured above.
All three iPhones will get a launch in and around September.
