Word on the street is that HTC is going to show off their high-end variant of the One M9 tomorrow and just ahead of that announcement we’re getting some pretty legit looking press images of the handset courtesy of @upleaks. As you can see, the device is nearly identical to the original M9 but there is that interesting Samsung looking home button on the device which isn’t actually a home button but a fingerprint reader.
In terms of specs, the M9+ is expected to pack a 5.2″ QHD display (a first for an HTC device), a 64-bit Octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, a 20MP camera on the back, and a 13MP front facing camera. The device runs Android 5.0 with Sense 7.0 running on top of that.
In terms of availability, we don’t know too much yet. The announcement is happening in China which suggests that this will be targeted at the Asian markets but there have been rumours that HTC will bring at Snapdragon 810 powered variant to North America later on. Again, we can’t confirm that right now but hopefully we’ll learn more tomorrow.
