Those of you still rocking an HTC DROID Incredible will be pleased to hear that it’s not time to plan the funeral for your device just yet. Even though it has been almost a full year since the device received its last official update (the DROID Incredible got Gingerbread on September 15th of 2011), there have already been many reasons to keep your phone around — at least for a little while — in the form of custom Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs.
Well, it’s time to add one more reason to the list of why you’d want to keep a phone that was discontinued almost a year and a half ago. Thanks to XDA Senior Member Albinoman, you can now get a taste of the latest flavor of Android, Jelly Bean. Albeit, this ROM is still in a highly-alpha state, I’m sure there will be a few of you out there who’ll gladly test anything thrown your way by the Android development community.
According to Albinoman, there’s a few things that still need some attention before this can even shed its alpha tag. Have a look below for the ins and outs:
Google Now (voice search as well)
Stock Browser (use chrome)
Head on over to Albinoman’s ROM thread if you’d like to check this out for yourself. Make sure to make a Nandroid backup before flashing anything. From the sound of things, you’re going to want to restore shortly after trying this one out. Be sure to let us know what you think after testing.
