This is not the first time we’re hearing of an OEM skinned version of the HTC Nexus 9 breaking cover soon and certainly won’t be the last. According to a new rumor though, the tablet which is known as the T1H internally will feature an almost identical hardware specs sheet as the Nexus variant, barring the customized version of Android. It is said that the device will break cover in China as soon as in May this year.
The tablet is also said to be slightly thinner with a 7.88mm body while the Nexus 9 is 7.95mm thick, suggesting a marginal decrease in thickness. Perhaps the biggest change here will be the use of the AllWinner H8 chipset in place of the NVIDIA Tegra K1 SoC. This chip is accompanied by the PowerVR SGX544 GPU. So it might be a little cheaper than the Nexus 9 by the look of things.
It is said that the T1H will pack Android 5.0 with HTC Sense 7.0 UI which made its debut with the One M9 smartphone earlier this month. Would you be interested in a skinned version of the Nexus 9 with almost the same hardware?
