The Amazon MP3 Android app has just received an update in Android Market. The new app, which is now at version 2.4, has a few polished usability touches, as well as optimisation for tablet devices.
Amazon MP3 lets users play their own music as well as tracks purchased through the music retailer and now features more prominent control buttons for Shuffle and Play, as well as a lick of darker digital paint for its colour scheme.
On Ice Cream Sandwich there’s also controls on the lock screen, a common feature for Android 4.0. Sadly, advanced features such as personalised recommendations and playing or downloading music stored in Amazon Cloud Drive are still only available to US users. Still, we do have a nice new colour scheme instead.
