Amazon Wireless launches hot mid-summer sale starting July 17th running for a limited time to give Android lovers great deals to choose from. Best-selling phones like Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC EVO, Motorola Droid Razr, and Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4G are now being offered at low prices; only Sprint and Verizon participated in this promotion and there’s no word if AT&T will also be jumping on the bandwagon.
The much appreciated Samsung Galaxy S3 from Sprint now appears at Amazon with a listing price of $139.99. Previously, this dual-core ICS smartphone was listed with $149.99 on a two-year contract. Also, the carrier’s HTC EVO 4G LTE which was listed with $129.99 price tag is now offered for just $79.99.
Sprint has recently activated some of its LTE base stations offering data transfer speed of up to 8 Mbps. This promotion is actually not about selling its popular smartphones but also promoting its new service.
On the other hand, Verizon is also offering two of its devices starting with Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4G which once was listed for $79.99 but now offered for just $0.01, or literally free. This is a dual-core, LTE-capable device and one of Verizon’s most popular smartphones. Another handset currently offered for free is the Motorola Droid Razr (black only); listed with $0.01 price tag on Amazon, it was previously offered at $99.99.
The US is on a high-speed course to upgrading its infrastructures on telecommunications and the Big Red is one of the most aggressive companies as far as upgrade is concerned. It is predicted by experts and analysts that by 2013 a huge percentage of smartphone users will be subscribing to 4G LTE connectivity. Thus, no time is wasted to promote such service as early as now.
Sprint’s and Verizon’s offerings are only valid for people who are willing to sign up for a new two-year individual contract or add a line to existing family plan. For more details, please check the links below:
