Amazon is notorious for not sharing financial data on their eBook and Kindle division. Instead, we mainly have to rely on press releases and analysts to give us a clearer picture on the health of their digital division. Scott Devitt at Morgan Stanley, did his due diligence and says that in 2012 Amazon made $565 million on their Kindle division. This includes content such as hardware sales, eBooks, movies, music and apps. Scott also believes that in 2013, Amazon will record higher profits and more then likely do $620 million in sales.
