Last month, when Motorola first unveiled its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade plans, it didn’t say anything about the Motorola Motoluxe and Motorola Pro+ (which, as you may already know, aren’t high-end smartphones).
Now Motorola has updated the list of devices that will get ICS, saying the roll-out for the Motoluxe and Pro+ is “in Evaluation & Planning.” However, since “some products that enter the Evaluation and Planning phase may not complete the upgrade cycle”, this isn’t a guarantee that the two handsets will get Android 4.0. But it’s still nice to see Motorola not ruling them out.
Meanwhile, Motorola hasn’t changed the ICS update plans for its more important handsets. For example, the update for the Motorola Razr (non US version) is still scheduled for Q2. And – in case you’re wondering, phones like Motorola Defy Mini, Defy+ and Milestone 2 will definitely remain on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
