Samsung is reportedly testing an official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for its Galaxy Note II – originally launched in September 2012 running Android 4.1.
According to SamMobile (Twitter), testing has only started today, so the actual 4.3 update will probably / hopefully be ready for roll-out next month.
Update: SamMobile expects the 4.3 update for the Note II to be out in November / December.
Of course, today is also the day when Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 3 is being released around the world. As you may already know, the Note III comes with Android 4.3 out of the box.
Other slightly older Samsung devices that should be updated to Android 4.3 in October are the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S III. We’ll let you know when we have official details on this.
All Samsung devices mentioned above – plus many others – will also get Android 4.4 KitKat. However, since Google has yet to clarify when KitKat will be ready, we don’t know when it’s going to happen.
