Is the next Android update right on the horizon? It sure looks so, at least according to a new application that was published by Google. Android Central was recently tipped off on news that Google’s Edu Device Setup application actually references support for Android 4.4.3. Specifically, the change log for the most recent version of the app, which was released on April 16, says:
• Support for new Google Spreadsheets
• Support for Android 4.4.3 and non-Nexus Tablets
• Minor UI updates and bug fixes
The version of the operating system referenced doesn’t exist yet; the latest release by Google is Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Yes, it’s possible that someone accidentally typed in the wrong number, but it’s probably more likely that Google’s gearing up to release Android 4.4.3 in the very near future. Several rumors suggesting its imminent release have detailed what to expect, but so far we’re not looking for anything groundbreaking in the next update.
