Samsung’s recently launched trio of Galaxy A smartphones will reportedly receive the Android 5.0 update very soon. It is said that the company has recently begun development on the ROM. The update could take another 2-3 months to officially land on devices, but that’s not surprising given that the company’s flagships are only seeing the update now.
The exclusive report from Sam Mobile also suggests that Samsung currently has no working ROM of Android 5.1, so customers might have to wait a while to receive this particular version of Android, even if they own high end devices like the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4 or even the upcoming Galaxy S6/S6 Edge smartphones.
Lastly, there seems to be no further developments to reports of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 getting the Android 5.0 update, so the company might have changed its plans at the last minute. But the good news at the moment is that the company is still focused on providing the Lollipop update for its recently unveiled midrange devices.
