SHENZHEN, China - Huawei has launched the new smartphone Huawei Ascend G600 with Android and a large IPS display, for select markets.
The phone features a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor under a large 4.5-inch IPS HD screen. It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and offers connectivity options through Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth and DLNA. The phone also supports NFC pairing to make quick payments.
The Ascend G600 has 786MB RAM and 4GB of built-in memory, though it can expanded to up to 32GB by means of a microSD memory card, while it also has a microUSB port.
The phone sports an 8MP BSI auto-focus camera, and DTS surround sound through its double speakers.
It is designed for long hours of usage, being powered by a 1930mAh Li-Polymer battery that provides more than 15 days of standby time, once fully charged.
The Huawei Ascend G600 is set to be released in this very month and will be available in two colors, black and white, only.
