HP webOS is all but dead, so why torture yourself by constantly using and falling in love with it everyday? Our suggestion, get Android up and running on your newly acquired webOS tablet. The developers behind Cyanogen Mod are hard at work in bringing Android to the HP TouchPad, it shouldn’t be too long before you can make the switch.
Currently, CM7 is able to booted up on the TouchPad, however, the touchscreen is not working so to get pass the lock screen, the developers had to require the aid of ADB. Once passed the lock screen, you’ll quickly realize that the OS is Android 2.3 and not the tablet centric Honeycomb. There is no Honeycomb because Google refuses to release the source code outside its partners.
The developer hope to make a lot of progress porting CM7 over to the TouchPad. Currently, the next step is to get the touchscreen working and from there all hell can break loose.
