The other day, the somehow in-the-know, LlabTooFer, leaked the potential specs for the upcoming mid-tier Desire 8. As far as specs go, we’ll see a 5.5-inch 720p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 8 GB of on-board storage, and a mircoSD slot. The leaked information also suggests that it come with 1GB of RAM, and a processor speed of 1.2GHz. A tweet today from @evleaks all but confirms these specs. Granted, HTC hasn’t come out with anything official so, the end result could be a bit different, but @evleaks isn’t usually wrong.
According to his tweet the device will pack everything that was previously leaked, but the processor will get a modest speed increase from 1.2 to 1.6GHz. The phone will also come with an extra 512MB of RAM, bringing it to 1.5GB. It will also come with Sense 6 and Boomsound speakers. There will be five color choices (black, white, red, yellow, and purple) as well. It will have a 13 MP camera in the back with a 5MP camera in the front.
All in all, the Desire 8 is shaping up to be a pretty decent device. A previous leak shows it to be a gorgeous looking one too. With an announcement coming here in a few days, we’ll know for sure soon enough.
