Social apps come in a variety of flavors, and many like to tout creativity whether it’s Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, or many others. Doodle.ly actually delivers creativity in all new form of social apps. Rather than sharing photos, you’re sharing your own drawings completely composed on your iOS device. The idea is a bit similar to Draw Something, or Draw Quest, but it takes the game elements out of it. Instead, you simply draw whatever you want, and then publish it to your timeline.
The neatest part of Doodle.ly is seeing others’ creations as it’s quite amazing to see what can be done on a touch screen. The usual social features are included with a scrolling timeline, the ability to follow, like and share, and see popular posts. The main difference is what’s being shared, and it’s all generated from a smooth drawing canvas. You’re given six different drawing tools along with an eraser, and each one has their own set of colors. There’s a very responsive drawing UI, and it’s quite enjoyable to just get lost in your own creation. Doodle.ly has been around since 2012, but it’s always worth pointing out well made apps, especially when they’re just updated. Now, you can store up to 180 drafts at the same time ready to work on, and publish later.
Doodle.ly (Free, Universal) is completely free to enjoy, so start sharing your doodles today.
