FreeMusic is all about flow, but there’s always that silent gap as one song ends, and another is about to begin. There’s also that abrupt silence when you manually skip to the next track, but that’s just part of listing to music, right? Not necessarily, thanks to the new app Serato Pyro that offers a seamless transition from track to track. The app automatically calculates the beats of each track you have stored on your device to match up a transition point from one song to the next. You can connect your local music library, or a Spotify Premium account, and have the same music mixing.
Serato Pyro works exactly as advertised, and it makes your songs sound fresh, even if you have heard them numerous times. That’s because the app choses the best point to end one song, and start the next for a smooth transition of connected beats per second. Not only that, but if you manually skip, the app doesn’t move on the instant you press skip, and instead waits a few seconds to create continuous flow to the next track. Serato Pyro can start the next track a few seconds in, and can even change the tempo for a few seconds of the next track to match the previous track. There are a lot of music players in the App Store, and most rely on clean designs and new interface types. Serato Pyro is one of the few apps that actually changes music playback, and really fits nicely for a workout, road trip, or party.
Serato Pyro (Free, Universal) offers an all new listening experience that is well worth listening to.
