There are all kinds of ways to keep on top of your to-do list with your iPhone with a big huge genre in the App Store. Springpad is one such app, and although it’s been around for awhile, it was recently updated to make it stand out. What makes Springpad different is that it’s a resource for almost everything you want to save, rather than just a simple to-do list. You can create notebooks like Evernote, but with a much greater focus with pre-built settings. There are notebook templates for tasks, notes, recipes, travel, movies, work projects, save for later, and more.
Once you have a notebook set-up, there are built-in specific functions for each of the notebook types. For instance, a travel notebook lets you quickly add places, itinerary items, packing list to-dos. It’s an extremely feature rich utility that can support so many different types of functions, and it’s only limitation is what you choose to do with it. The built-in functions make it quick to add any type of note, or task all formatted based on the type that it is. The app doesn’t just support basic functions, but it also includes support for links, photos, and videos that can all stand out with the gallery views of each individual notebook. If all of the solo creation wasn’t enough there’s also collaboration utilities to exchange any of the notebooks.
Springpad (Free, Universal) is an extremely valuable utility that really gives Evernote a run for its money as your one resource for storing your digital items.
