Always wanted to turn your iPhone into a five-minute, Dollar Store looking sports toy? Your search is at an end – AppBaseball is here. AppBaseball is a cheap-looking green plastic baseball diamond case for the iPhone that allows you to play the downloadable baseball app. Players can either bat, by pulling back that yellow baseball bat on the side and letting it fly at the right time, or pitch, by using a slider on the back to select a pitch and pressing a button to release. The timing for batting look hysterically off – in the demo, most of the hits came when the bat was released while the ball was already above the plate.
There is a two-player mode, but hats off to you if you can find anyone willing to actually play this with you for more than about 30 seconds. AppBaseball is swinging for the fences on StrapyaWorld, selling for, in a final insult, about $43.
