Is Apple preparing for the release of it's next-generation iPhone?
All signs point to Apple prepping for its next-generation iPhone, expected to hit the market sometime this fall. Cnet reports on Sterne Agee's prediction that the Cupertino-based company is decreasing the production of its current handsets, possibly by as much as 25 percent from one quarter to the next.
And why would Apple make such a move unless it was making room for something bigger and better, right? Slowing production of its current iPhones would give Apple's suppliers more time to pave the way for the next model.
If any of this sounds familiar, it should; Apple made a similar move in reducing production of the iPhone 4 just before the release of the 4S version. At the same time, the tech giant is also purportedly looking at a slight increase in the production of its latest iPad, which continues to see rave reviews.
