As we reported earlier at AppleTell, Apple is
fixing to discontinue its price-leader second-generation full-sized iPad with its obsolescent A5 processor and non-Retina display, according to Appleinsider’s Neil Hughes. This comes after a nearly
three year production life, which is an eternity in the tablet computer world.
Hughes says that according to “people familiar with Apple’s plans,” the decision has been made to phase out iPad 2 production.
