Apple has confirmed to launch their next-gen iPhones at the September 7th event. Without any surprises, we expect the company to unveil the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at that event. This year we will miss the 3.5mm audio port on both the iPhones and the company might offer the lightning port headsets along with the handsets. Even the regular home button will be replaced with a capacitive button. However, the TouchID will remain at the same place.
The Antenna bands which look ugly on the back of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s are now placed alongside side the top and bottom edges with curved ends. Both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus comes with the same displays as on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus respectively. But from 2017, Apple will be shifting to OLED panels. Both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are powered by Apple A10 chipset coupled with embedded M10 motion coprocessor.
The devices will be running on iOS 10 which is now in beta phase. While the iPhone 7 includes 2GB of RAM, the iPhone 7 Plus packs 3GB of RAM. If the rumours are to be believed, both the devices will be available in 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage variants. The iPhone 7 is expected to be powered by 1960mAh battery whereas the iPhone 7 Plus comes with a 2910mAh battery. Both the devices come with slightly bigger batteries when compared to their predecessors.
Talking about the camera, the iPhone 7 includes a 12MP rear camera and iPhone 7 Plus packs dual 12MP sensors on the rear with f/1.9 aperture. The devices will be available in Silver, Gold, Space Gray, Rose Gold along with the new Blue color. While the recent leaks also suggest one more new color – Black.
