The iPhone 8 has been pitched in a size comparison against many key Android rivals
Reputable tipster @OnLeaks has come up with something interesting today; a render showing the iPhone 8 (and the iPhone 7s Plus) alongside a wide range of contemporary Android rivals.
At present there have been a few leaks from case makers who, ahead of the iPhone 8 launch later this year, are getting CAD schematics, measurements and dummy units of the iPhone 8 which will allow them to build cases designed to fit round it. This is fairly standard procedure in the smartphone industry, but fortunately tipsters inside these firms leak the details on the web and give us an idea of accurate sizing.
This then means that 3D artists are able to render fairly accurate estimates of how the forthcoming product will look. In this case, @OnLeaks (or a render artist working on its behalf, as is often the case) has produced a schematic-based render of the iPhone 8 but has then gone the extra mile and stacked it alongside the likes of the Google Pixel XL, Huawei P10, Samsung Galaxy S8 and many others. The iPhone 8 is second from the left.
The render shows some of the rumoured features; a larger 16:9 aspect ratio OLED display with a 5.8in diagonal. We can also see it lacks a Home key as it's understood the phone will feature a dedicated "Function Area" built into the display.
