With the final build of iOS 10 expected next week alongside the launch of the iPhone 7, Apple has issued another beta to developers.
This time it’s the eigth beta of iOS 10 that has been released to developers that is labelled with a build number of 14A5346a. Alongside this, those who participate in the iOS Public beta program, who signed into the Apple Beta Software Program website, are receiving beta 7 of iOS 10.
To grab either the beta 8 or beta 7, depending on which program you are signed up to, head on over to Settings → General → Software Update to receive the update over-the-air (OTA). However, some are experiencing issues requesting the OTA update to iOS 10 beta 8. Upon requesting the iOS Software Update, some users see a prompt, saying “Unable to Check for Update. An error occurred while checking for a software update.”
You can grab a full build of iOS 10 beta 8 via the Apple Developer Center to overcome this issue.
At this point you can expect any updates and further betas to be bug improvements and small enhancements given the impending release of iOS 10. The iPhone 7 is expected to be revealed by Apple next week on September 2nd, and the final iOS 10 build will accompany this.
