Apple is now offering refurbished iPad Air 2 units through its online store, seven months after the device first went on sale. Prices start at $419 for a 16GB Wi-Fi model, which is $80 (16%) cheaper than a brand new unit.
The iPad Air 2 is Apple’s slimmest yet most powerful iPad yet. It packs the company’s latest A8X processor and 2GB of RAM, plus an improved 9.7-inch Retina display, the M8 motion coprocessor, an 8-megapixel rear-facing iSight camera, and up to ten hours of battery life.
Prices normally start at $499 when you buy directly from Apple, but those looking to save some cash can now pick up the device from the refurbished section of the company’s online store. Almost all models are available in all colors, and you can save 15-17% on each one.
Here’s a rundown of the prices:
16GB Wi-Fi — $419 ($80 off)
64GB Wi-Fi — $509 ($90 off)
128GB Wi-Fi — $589 ($110 off)
16GB Wi-Fi + Cellular — $519 ($110 off)
64GB Wi-Fi + Cellular — $609 ($120 off)
128GB Wi-Fi + Cellular — $689 ($140 off)
These prices will almost certainly beat any deal you’ll get from a third-party retailer, and of course, because these are certified refurbished devices, they come with a full 1-year Apple warranty, and a brand new battery and outer shell.
