The development time for iOS 8.2 has been fairly long, at least for Apple standards. The first beta edition arrived in mid-November. Before today’s update, beta 4 landed in early January.
It’s currently unclear when this software will arrive to the general public. But with the substantial tie-in with the Apple Watch, it might landsimultaneouslywith the wearable device.
Just last week, Apple released a minor iOS update – version 8.1.3. The major improvement in that edition was to reduce theamount of required storage needed to perform a software update. That could help push adoption of iOS 8, which has been slower when compared to iOS 7.
And I’m glad to see Apple is giving developers such a nice amount of timewith the WatchKit software so they can harness the full power of the new device.
