Once Apple is done with launching new iPhones in September this year the spotlight will fall on the company’s tablets which will be due for a refresh in October-November this year. It has already been rumored countless times that this year Apple also has an iPad Pro up its sleeve which has a 12.9 inch display. There’s a new report out of Korea which claims that in order to focus more on the iPad Pro Apple may skip the iPad Air 3 this year.
The report claims that Apple may want the market’s attention solely for the iPad Pro which will be the company’s largest tablet ever if it ends up launching it, and this will allow Apple’s manufacturing partners to produce the larger tablet at maximum capacity instead of having to juggle a new model of the iPad Air as well.
Take this report with a grain of salt though. It’s much more possible for Apple to only make minimal changes to the iPad Air 3, like it did with the iPad mini 3, and launch the iPad Pro also, there won’t be a need to take such a drastic action as skipping an entire year altogether.
