Apple has once again expanded the Flyover feature of its Maps software to a number of additional locations.
With this expansion, the company has added 3-D views of select American and European territories, including nearly a dozen cities and towns across the Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Puerto Rico, Sweden, and the U.S.
As notedly 9to5Mac, Flyover is newly supported for the following 11 locations: Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; Amarillo, Texas; Arecibo, Puerto Rico; Beziers, France; Brno, Czech Republic; Cittadella, Italy; Clermont, France; Hamburg, Germany; Helsingborg, Sweden;Liverpool, England; and Odense, Denmark.
The addition of Flyover support for these new locations follows that for 14 locations in Europe, New Zealand, and the U.S. lastmonth.
If you want to experience a birds eye view of those locations and more, you can take advantage of Flyover in Apples Maps apps for iOS and Mac. Powered by the 3-D mapping technology acquired by Apple with the companys purchase of C3 in 2011, Flyover allows Maps users to fly over supported cities and their landmarks with photorealistic interactive 3-D views that can be zoomed, panned, and rotated.
