SAN FRANCISCO, USA – This month Apple launched the long-awaited iPad 3, with the official name as New iPad. However, apart from the name there is nothing much to surprise in the new tablet.
Talking about the specs, the New iPad runs on iOS 5.1 and is loaded with an A5X chip with quad-core graphics, four times more powerful than Nvidia Tegra 3, claimed by Apple's Phil Schiller. This new Apple tablet will feature a 9.7inch HD Retina display, with 44 percent improvement to the color saturation on screen.
Coming to the camera, it is an upgraded 5MP sensor which uses an advanced optic together with auto-exposure and autofocus attributes and shoots video in 1080p.
The third-generation iPad offers 10 hours of battery life on Wi-Fi and 9 hours on 4G LTE. There are also other few improvements to the software side.
The new iPad is available in both black and white with a suggested price of $499 for 16GB, $599 for 32GB and $699 for 64GB for Wi-Fi models. The Wi-Fi plus 4G LTE models come from either with AT&T or Verizon for a price of $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB and $829 for 64GB model.
