“We apologize to our customers experiencing problems with iTunes and other services this morning. The cause was an internal DNS error at Apple. We’re working to make all of the services available to customers as soon as possible, and we thank everyone for their patience,” Apple said in a statement to CNBC.
According to Apple’s system status page, all three services are still down “for all users.” Apple didn’t give any type of estimate when the problems will be fixed.
Currently, most users are able to view App Store and iTunes items. But users can’t log in to their accounts or download items.
Let’s hope Apple can get its digital marketplace up and running as soon as possible. It’s disappointing it took so long this morning for Apple to even acknowledge there was a problem in the first place.
