If you go shopping this holiday season at an Apple Store retail location, you may notice a couple of changes in wardrobe on the typical store employee. A new report says that starting today, Apple Store workers won't be wearing the trademark neck lanyard and will be rocking a red shirt instead of the normal blue colored shirt.
MacRumors says the changes were announced in an internal company video that was introduced by Apple's retail leader Angela Ahrendts. Switching from blue to red colors for shirts is an obvious holiday nod, but the report says that the removal of the lanyard will encourage store employees to introduce themselves to shoppers.
The same story says that Apple will introduce new colors for its gift cards, stating that they will now come in solid silver, gold and space gray to match the colors of the current iPhone and iPad models.
