When the iPad Pro was first released, some early adopters noticed that the tablet would become unresponsive after charging. When this happens, pushing the power or Touch ID sensor/Home button wont wake the tablet up, and the only way to get the iPad Pro to come back to life is to perform a hard reset of the device by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake and Home button for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. With the release of iOS 9.2, that problem could be solved for good.
It took some time for Apple to even acknowledge this problem, but when they ultimately did respond it was through a support document recommending the hard reset method. Apple also acknowledged that it was investigating the issue. Now that iOS 9.2 has been released, Cupertino has updated that support document to say, Updating your iPad Pro to iOS 9.2 or later might prevent this issue from occurring in the future.
That bit about might prevent this issue from occurring in the future is a bit disconcerting, but maybe it shouldnt be. This problem was fairly random and, Im sure, difficult to determine the precise cause of. Apples investigation was surely hampered by that randomness, but we had suggested early on that the latest betas of iOS seemed to leave the problem in the dust.
